Course Hero, a renowned learning platform, is set to host its sixth annual Education Summit with more than 7,500 faculty members from around the world gathering virtually on June 29-30.

The summit aims to facilitate discussions and collaborations among educators on the evolving landscape of teaching in an AI-enabled world.

With participants from 129 countries, the event will delve into topics such as digital pedagogy, assessment strategies, and creating student-first learning environments.

“Today, faculty are on the frontlines of student mental health challenges, advancements in AI and technology are progressing faster than ever, and we’re all navigating new campus norms in an increasingly hybrid world,” said Sean Michael Morris, vice president of Academics at Course Hero.

“The annual summit elevates expert voices from the classroom — educators and students alike — to offer our community of educators practical strategies that ground their work in the success of today’s students,” he added.

The Education Summit 2023 will present an extensive program consisting of more than 25 workshops and faculty-led discussions aimed at constructing learning environments that effectively support student success.

Recognizing the rapid integration of generative AI in classrooms worldwide, the event will also feature sessions on utilizing AI constructively for teaching, comprehending the opportunities and tradeoffs involved, and preparing students for an AI-enabled workplace.

A recent poll conducted by EDUCAUSE revealed the optimistic outlook of higher education leaders towards the use of generative AI.

AI-focused programming will include perspectives from students, faculty members utilizing AI in their classrooms, and insights from Edward Tian, founder of GPTZero.

Renowned author Priya Parker, known for her work in conflict resolution and bestselling book “The Art of Gathering,” will kick off the summit with a conversation alongside Course Hero’s Chief Brand Officer Harriet Seitler. The discussion will explore how educators can cultivate classroom cultures that foster human connection and inclusive learning.

Course Hero continues to expand its offerings, now providing access to over 100 million course-specific study resources created by and for students and educators, along with 24/7 tutor help. The platform remains dedicated to empowering educators and students alike in their pursuit of academic excellence.
