University Fair facilitates connections between Indian students, American institutions

The fair showcased a diverse range of American higher education institutions offering academic programs at different levels, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral.

The 2023 EducationUSA University Fair provided Indian students and parents an opportunity to directly engage with accredited American universities and colleges. Featuring representatives from 38 American institutions, the event focused on offering information about undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs.

Hosted by the United States-India Educational Foundation in collaboration with the US Embassy, the fair brought together a diverse array of American higher education institutions, each offering academic programs at various levels. Attendees had the unique chance to interact directly with university representatives to gain insights into different programs and admission criteria.

Attendees also had the opportunity to seek guidance from EducationUSA advisers and US Embassy representatives, who provided valuable insights into the US student visa application process and various aspects of studying and living in the United States.

Enthusiasm for supporting Indian students
Sita Raiter, deputy cultural attaché, expressed her enthusiasm for supporting Indian students in their educational pursuits, highlighting the United States’ commitment to assisting them on their academic journey.

Aditi Lele, an EducationUSA adviser, noted the significant response to the fair and highlighted the diverse participation of students from districts such as Latur, Buldhana and Ahmednagar.

The fair served as a platform to connect students with opportunities to pursue education at US universities.

This in-person event took part of a series held in eight Indian cities, including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru, from Aug. 26 to Sept. 3, 2023.

EducationUSA, operating under the US Department of State’s network of international student advising centers, stands as a reliable source of information about US higher education. Through education fairs, outreach initiatives and online sessions, EducationUSA Centers provide accurate and current information to help prospective students make well-informed decisions about studying in the US.
