Switzerland-based edtech platform, Avidii, has expanded its operations in India, marking a significant milestone for the company.

Since its formal launch in 2021, the platform has successfully onboarded over 400 tutors across India and has amassed more than 5,000 downloads, as per The Telegraph report.

Catering to students aged 11 to 18, Avidii offers a comprehensive range of subjects, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, commerce, and arts. The platform, available 24/7, ensures immediate and customized learning experiences. Avidii also caters to various educational boards, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination, and State Boards.

Each learning doubt is addressed comprehensively by the tutors, motivating students to practice and deepen their understanding of the subject matter.

Avidii grants students the freedom to determine the duration of each session, allowing them to take control of their own learning experience. Furthermore, it also offers a work-from-home option, presenting countless employment opportunities for tutors from different states across India.

“We are happy to begin our much-awaited operations in India. Within no time, Avidii has attracted 400+ tutors across India, with thousands of users already having tried the platform,” said Deepak Subbarao, co-founder of Avidii.

Avidii, already active in four countries worldwide, is planning on achieving a remarkable one million users and downloads in India by the end of this year.

“We are looking to increase our tutor network extensively and are hopeful of achieving good traction soon,” Subbarao added.

Utilizing advanced teaching tools such as digital whiteboards, graphic annotation features, and shared learning materials, Avidii’s tutors create comprehensive learning sessions for students. By engaging in one-on-one sessions in real-time, students gain conceptual clarity and develop the confidence and habit of seeking dedicated help to improve their understanding of difficult subjects.

At Avidii, tutors utilize a dynamic question-based methodology to lead students through problem-solving and the cultivation of effective learning strategies. By adapting their approach to students’ existing knowledge and employing visual examples, they ensure a thorough comprehension of concepts. Rather than presenting a simple sequence of steps, Avidii’s tutors foster independent thinking and encourage students to critically engage with the subject matter.
