A French study reveals that more than half of students do not feel safe at their institutions.

In an effort to reinforce secular values, France’s Education Minister, Gabriel Attal, has announced a ban on long robes, predominantly worn by Muslims, in educational institutions. Critics argue these garments, namely the abayas for women and khamis for men, are merely fashion statements.

Germany’s Education Minister has voiced concerns about potential scientific espionage from Chinese students studying under full state scholarships in the country. Meanwhile, Beijing believes Germany’s tougher new approach in managing its relationship with China would only increase “man-made risks” and “exacerbate divisions” in the world.
