Two prominent international education firms, IDP Education and Intake Education, have announced a strategic partnership in a move to amplify international education services in Nigeria. The alliance aims to offer prospective students in Nigeria and other countries increased access to global educational opportunities and a broader array of study destinations.
Step towards improvement
Pieter Funnekotter, Chief Executive Officer of Intake Education, expressed optimism about the collaboration.
“This partnership enables us to pool our resources, experience, and expertise, thereby significantly improving the services we can offer students. The alliance is set to provide unprecedented leadership in educational consultancy in regions including Nigeria, Kenya, and Canada and will facilitate access to more than 800 universities in English-speaking nations,” he said.
Bukky Awofisayo, area director for Sub-Saharan Africa at IDP Education, also underscored the benefits of the partnership.
“This integration allows us to offer a greater range of study destinations to our students, including options such as Australia, New Zealand, and Canada,” Awofisayo said. She further elaborated that the collaboration expands IDP Education’s operational reach across Nigeria and enhances its technological offerings.
Leveraging technology
According to Awofisayo, IDP’s advanced technological platform will serve as a linchpin in the partnership, offering efficient digital methods for student engagement.
“We are replacing traditional approaches with digital interactions, which will provide students with the best advice and services in a more efficient manner,” she said.
Imad Chaoui, regional director for the Middle East, Europe, and the Commonwealth of Independent States, highlighted the strengthened presence the partnership will create.
“With our combined efforts, we aim to extend our reach in Nigeria and inaugurate additional locations to benefit an increased number of students,” said Chaoui.
The partnership represents a concerted effort to provide Nigerian students with better access to global educational opportunities.
