Eduverse Summit 2024 announces webinar series ahead of Nigeria, Brazil, and Canada summits

In its inaugural year, global education conference Eduverse Summit 2024 has unveiled a global webinar series leading up to its summits in Nigeria, Brazil, and Canada.

These webinars are set to provide a pivotal platform for higher education leaders, policymakers, edtech innovators, and educators to shape the future of education through transformative dialogue and collaborative initiatives.

The Eduverse Summits are scheduled on February 15 at the Marriott Lagos Ikeja in Lagos, Nigeria, on March 12 at the Renaissance Sao Paulo Hotel in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and from June 2 to 4 at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel in Vancouver, Canada.

Eduverse’s vision

Avinav Sharma, who heads Eduverse while serving as head of strategy at edtech platform MSM Unify, said that the organization envisions becoming a hub for ideas and innovations, utilizing technology and diverse perspectives to create a more connected global education community.

“Eduverse’s influence extends beyond conventional knowledge exchange; it is about shaping a future where education is accessible, inclusive, and continually evolving to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world,” he told MSM Reporter.

He said that the choice of Nigeria, Brazil, and Canada as summit locations reflects Eduverse’s commitment to understanding and addressing the unique educational needs of these diverse markets.

Sharma added each country, with its distinct educational ecosystem, offers a unique set of challenges and opportunities.

“By engaging directly with these varied contexts, Eduverse aims to cultivate a more nuanced and comprehensive approach to global education,” he said.

“This diversity enriches the discourse, allowing us to explore innovative solutions that are culturally responsive and locally relevant, thereby making a more substantial and meaningful impact,” he continued.

Transformative educational landscape in 2024

Looking forward to 2024, Sharma anticipates a dynamic educational landscape with a focus on personalization, technology integration, and holistic learning.

He also foresees a continued rise in edtech solutions catering to individual learning styles and needs, coupled with increased collaborations between educational institutions and technology companies.

Additionally, Sharma said that there will be a strong emphasis on upskilling educators to adeptly navigate technological advancements, ensuring their capability to effectively guide students in this new era of digital learning.

Eduverse’s impact

Anticipating the impacts of the Eduverse Summits, Sharma envisions a ripple effect of positive outcomes both globally and within each specific region.

Globally, he expects an increase in cross-cultural collaborations and a deeper understanding of diverse educational challenges and innovations. Regionally, the impacts are likely to be more tailored to the specific needs identified during the summits, including the development of region-specific educational programs, policy reforms influenced by global best practices, and strengthened networks among educators, policymakers, and industry leaders.

“Ultimately, Eduverse aims to be a catalyst for transformative change in education, fostering environments that are more inclusive, innovative, and forward-thinking,” said Sharma.

Eduverse stands as a unique force in the dynamic landscape of international education conferences, representing both established and emerging markets.

With a commitment to driving conversations around critical issues, it aims to play a pivotal role in steering the sector towards sustainable growth, enhanced capacity building, and a trajectory of inclusive, diverse, and equitable advancement in student recruitment and internationalization.
