GCC have announced that international students in Canada can now work longer hours, providing better employment prospects as well as a path towards permanent residency.

International students are vulnerable to fraud through online, email, phone, and social media, with some of the most common types of immigration fraud including “ghost” consultants, phishing, and fake job offers and housing.

Universities Australia Chief Executive Catriona Jackson praised the progress made in the recovery of international education. “It’s terrific to see so many students back on campus with their friends.”

According to Immigration Minister Sean Fraser, Canada attributes the exploitation and abuse of international students to “bad actors” from abroad, saying these individuals take advantage of the lack of protection international students have in the country.
